The Company
Kallax Flyg AB was founded in 1998 by two brothers, Sven and Folke Stenvall and their sister Anna Flink. The company is totally owned by and is a subsidiary of Stenvalls Trä AB. In 2003, it was announced that Stenvalls Trä has been the most profitable sawmill in the country for the last five years. The company is AAA rated.

The fact that such an economically strong company is the owner of Kallax Flyg AB is a guarantee to you the customer of the economic stability of Kallax Flyg AB.
In 2004, the company acquired Helimek AB Helimek AB an air maintenance company supplying professional plane & helicopter maintenance in accordance with JAR-145 (air maintenance licence).
During the same year Kallax Flyg AB acquired Polar Helikopter in Kiruna i Kiruna AB.

We are a company with a modern approach to management and with a solid economic base. We continually look for ways of refining and improving our operations. The team of workers is enthusiastic and experienced, they consider the big picture and take their share of the responsibility, which creates a quality beneficial to all concerned, not least the customer. The number of return customers we have is proof in itself of our high safety standards and consistency. In order to further strengthen safety aspects for the customer, we have systemized our quality work in accordance with the Operation Manual (OM).

Everybody in the company shall strive to get it right first time. Our services shall maintain the expected quality during every stage of the process, from appraisal, to contract, to implementation.
Our leadership philosophy and the general structuring of the company are based on personal responsibility, dedication, simplicity and co-operation. The company is organized to ensure short routed, fast decision making, facilitating effective and flexible assignment management.
Our business concept is to provide air services and package tours which are as cost effective as possible, meet the customers’ needs, and ensure maximum safety.
The company carries out Commercial Air Transport (CAT) using helicopters and seaplanes in accordance with JAR-OPS 1-3 and EU-OPS 1, as well as Ariel Work (AW), using helicopters and seaplanes, which includes aerial photography, game inventories, reindeer herding, power cable inspection/fault finding, Ministry of Defence assignments, all types of lifting work, fire fighting, and in a limited way, according to the Operation Manual (OM), the hiring out of aircraft.

In Kiruna, we offer angling trips, hunting trips and adventures in unspoilt wilderness, with our own booking centre. Kallax Flyg AB has three year-round bases in Kiruna. Kiruna airport, Kiruna C and Kurrawaara. All the bases have offices, accommodation, warehouses and maintenance hangars. There is also a year-round base at Pite/Långnäs Airport with a maintenance hangar and leased premises with a base in Arvidsjaur.
There are also seasonal bases in Nikkaluokta, Abisko Lycksele and Alta, Norway.
