With Stenvalls Trä AB as its owner, Kallax Flyg AB is able to offer strong economic security to its customers. The aircraft are owned by the parent company, Stenvalls Trä AB, which in turn hires them out to Kallax Flyg AB.

During the financial year 2004, Stenvalls Trä AB acquired Helimek AB, an aircraft maintenance company that supplies qualified aeroplane and helicopter maintenance in accordance with Part 145 (aircraft maintenance licence). In the same year, Kallax Flyg AB acquired Polar Helikopter in Kiruna AB. Helimek AB merged with Kallax Flyg AB on 13/06/2007.

Kallax Flyg AB has a modern leadership philosophy and strong financial basis, and its assignments are constantly being refined and improved. All the staff are committed and experienced, look at the big picture and take their share of responsibility to generate quality that benefits the customers.

The many returning customers to the different business areas bear witness to the high safety standards and consistent quality. The quality work is systematised according to the Operating Manual (OM) to further improve safety for customers.

Everyone in the company shall strive to get it right the first time and the services shall maintain the expected quality at every stage of the process, from the order to the assignment.

The leadership philosophy and business climate are characterised by personal responsibility, a high level of commitment, simplicity and good cooperation. The company has been organised with short and quick decision routes, facilitating efficient and flexible management of assignments. The business concept is to provide air services and package trips to meet customer requirements cost effectively and with a high level of safety.

The company operates Commercial Air Transport (CAT) with helicopters and seaplanes according to JAR-OPS 1-3 and EU-OPS 1. It also undertakes Aerial Work (AW) with helicopters and aeroplanes including aerial photography, game inventories, reindeer herding, power cable inspection/fault localisation, flights for the Swedish Armed Forces, all types of lifting assignments, fire fighting and hire out of aircraft in a limited district according to the Operating Manual (OM).

Kallax Flyg AB offers angling trips, hunting trips and adventures in unspoilt wilderness in Kiruna, with its own booking centre. Kallax Flyg AB has three year-round bases in Kiruna: Kiruna Airport, Kiruna C and Kurravaara. All the bases have offices, accommodation, storage and maintenance hangars. There is also a year-round base at Piteå/Långnäs Airport with a maintenance hangar, and a hired facility with a base in Arvidsjaur. In addition to these, there are seasonal bases in Nikkaluokta, Abisko and Alta, Norway.
